Dallas and the Dallas Cowboys: America’s Team, Global Impact
For example, look at the Cowboys. Love them or hate them, the Dallas Cowboys truly are America’s Team — and one of the most valuable and recognizable sports brands on the planet. The Cowboys don’t just represent football; they represent branding at the highest level. It is recognizable and iconic in a way that gives inspiration.
And consider when AT&T Stadium opened in Arlington, it didn’t simply raise the bar — it reset expectations worldwide for stadium design. The massive scale, iconic arches, integrated digital displays, and seamless blend of architecture and signage changed how sports and entertainment venues are built everywhere.
That mindset matters for Dallas businesses too. This city understands the power of bold branding, clear visibility, and memorable design. Custom signs in Dallas, TX should reflect that same confidence — making a statement without saying a word.
Industrial Dominance: A Logistics Powerhouse That Demands Visibility
Dallas is one of the largest logistics and industrial hubs in the United States. In fact, industrial space accounts for more than half of the total commercial footprint in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex.
Warehouses, manufacturing facilities, distribution centers, and flex spaces rely heavily on:
- Large-format exterior signage
- Wayfinding and safety signage
- Illuminated building identification
- Durable materials built for heavy use
In industrial environments, signage isn’t optional — it’s operational. Clear, compliant, and professionally installed custom signs in Dallas, TX help facilities stay efficient, safe, and easy to navigate for employees, drivers, and visitors.
Project Highlight: Durable, High-Visibility Building Sign for an Industrial Facility
For this project, the customer needed a non-lit building sign that balanced visibility, durability, and affordability—a common challenge for
industrial facilities where branding needs to be clear without unnecessary complexity.
To meet those goals, we designed and installed a pan sign featuring a vibrant, full-color vinyl graphic. Instead of standard sign vinyl, we used vehicle wrap vinyl paired with a UV-protective overlaminate. This material choice was intentional: wrap vinyl is engineered to withstand harsh outdoor conditions, and the added UV overlaminate provides extended color stability and protection from sun exposure, helping the sign maintain its professional appearance for years.
Because this is an active industrial site, placement was just as important as materials. The sign was strategically positioned on the building to ensure strong visibility from both the street and the parking lot, making it easy to identify the business from multiple approaches without relying on illumination.
The final result is a clean, professional, and long-lasting exterior sign that delivers strong brand presence while staying cost-effective—an ideal solution for industrial buildings that need dependable signage that works as hard as they do.
Project Highlight – Custom Menu Board for Iconic West End Candy Store
We were contacted by Kokopelli Candy in the West End of Dallas, TX to create and install a custom menu board. The owner was innovating and
experimenting with new candies and ancillary products and needed a way to communicate what candy was available and at what price. But the menu board needed to be update also on a regular basis. As he tried new things and discovered what worked he could keep it. And if not, he could remove it from the menu and replace it with something else new and interesting.
We designed a chalkboard menu board for him that not only accomplished his business objectives but also kept with an “old-timey” feel consistent with this historic area of Dallas, TX and the long tenure of the business in this location. The end result is a beautiful and functional sign, custom made to fit the brand of the business, achieve the function that was needed for an ever-evolving business, and be a good fit in the space.

Frequently Asked Questions – Custom Signs in Dallas, TX
Do I need a permit for my sign in Dallas?
Yes. Most signs in Dallas require a permit. In some cases, a sign permit is not required in Dallas. This typically applies when you’re only changing interchangeable wording on a sign that was designed for easy updates, or when you’re performing normal maintenance such as replacing worn parts or repainting the sign without changing any wording. Memorial signs or tablets may also be exempt when they include building names or dates of erection that are cut directly into masonry or made from durable, non-combustible materials like bronze. In addition, most government signs do not require permits, including flags, insignia, legal notices, informational signage, and directional or traffic signs that are necessary for the essential functions of government agencies.
How long does the sign permitting process take?
Timelines can vary depending on location, sign type and scope of work. In general, for channel letters, storefront signs or other common business signs, from the time you sign off on a final drawing and pay the deposit, you should allow 10-12 business days for the permit to be issued.
Can you help with sign design?
